Kate Goodman

Kate has served Rush Homes since October of 2014. She is an alumna of Randolph-Macon Woman’s College, where she worked in development for fifteen years. In addition to her work in higher education, Kate is interested in making a difference in her community. She has served on the board of the Friends of the Lynchburg Public Library, and as president of the Virginia Corporate Board of the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership seminar. Kate learned of Rush Homes when her sister, who sustained a brain injury in an automobile accident, moved into a Rush Home. She and her family understand first-hand the challenges which exist for people with disabilities and Kate is pleased to be working to help ease some of those challenges as they relate to housing in the Lynchburg community. Kate lavishes attention on her two nieces and her nephew, reads, and is an avid knitter.
